A woman has gone viral after recounting an encounter with a fellow passenger during a keke (commercial tricycle) ride.
The tale gained traction online due to its unexpected conclusion, even though the two women had a heated argument.
She explained that she boarded the keke with her son, Eden, and had paid for two seats.
Another female passenger, who was holding three children on her lap, asked her to shift her son to make room for the kids.
When she declined, the woman shoved the child aside to create space, leading the mother to demand that the passenger continue holding her children as she had before boarding.
Heated Exchange on the Tricycle Ride
The mother remarked, “She assumed I would be helpful to another woman, then commented that I was just wasting money since I could have carried my son on my legs.”
She also claimed that after eating, the passenger tossed a corn stalk onto the street, and when challenged, insulted her looks, saying her nose was broad and unattractive.
However, the dispute took an unexpected twist when they reached the final stop.
Surprising Turn of Events
According to the mother, the woman later realized she had accidentally discarded her fare along with the corn stalk.
The keke driver insisted on collecting his payment and was ready to embarrass the passenger.
Despite their earlier clash, the mother said she covered the woman’s fare for the sake of the children. She added that the woman quietly expressed gratitude but could not meet her gaze.
The story has sparked mixed reactions online, with many praising the mother for choosing compassion over retaliation, while others view it as a lesson in humility and kindness.
