A Nigerian man shared a painful recollection of taking his girlfriend to the airport, only to hear her mother deliver a comment that altered his perception of their relationship.

He explained that he had gone to see her off as she prepared to travel to Canada, hoping to create a final memory before her departure.

“Imagine accompanying your girlfriend to the airport as she departs for Canada, and just as you’re about to share one last moment together, her mother says, ‘My daughter, make sure you don’t come back home without a husband.’”
