Dollar to Naira Black Market Rate – July 31, 2026
The parallel market, often referred to as the black market or Aboki fx, continues to set the Dollar to Naira rate outside the official banking system. On Thursday, 30th July 2026, Bureau De Change (BDC) sources in Lagos reported that traders were selling one US dollar for ₦1,419 and buying it at ₦1,408.

These rates reflect the current supply and demand dynamics in the informal foreign exchange market. While the figures can fluctuate throughout the day, the quoted buy and sell prices give a clear picture of what individuals can expect when exchanging dollars for naira through BDC operators.
CBN Position on the Parallel Market
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise the parallel market. It advises anyone needing foreign exchange to conduct transactions through their respective banks. Despite this guidance, many Nigerians still rely on the black market for access to dollars due to availability and convenience.
