Dickson Confirms Kwankwaso’s INEC Upload as NDC Vice‑Presidential Candidate for 2027
The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, visited the party’s vice‑presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at his Abuja residence on Tuesday.
Both politicians confirmed the meeting and announced that Kwankwaso’s name has been successfully uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal as the NDC’s vice‑presidential candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
Kwankwaso shared his thoughts on the visit:
“I was delighted to welcome my brother and National Leader of our great party, the NDC, His Excellency Henry Seriake Dickson, to my residence in Abuja. I took the opportunity to brief him on the highly productive engagements and consultations I have undertaken across the North West states, which have yielded very encouraging results. HE Dickson confirmed the successful submission of my candidacy and also announced that my name has been duly uploaded on the INEC portal as the Vice Presidential candidate to His Excellency Peter Obi on the platform of our party. We remain steadfast, united, and fully focused on the mission ahead.”

Dickson also confirmed the outcome of the meeting:
“I have just visited and held discussions with our Vice Presidential candidate, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, CON. I was briefed on very positive developments arising from his engagements and consultations in the North West, and he informed me that he has concluded his deposition. We also confirmed that his name has been successfully uploaded on the INEC portal as the Vice Presidential candidate of our great party for the 2027 presidential election. We remain on course and steadfast in our commitment to the mission ahead. Long live the NDC. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
