Anthony Joshua Survives Two Knockdowns to Defeat Kristian Prenga in Second Round

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua weathered a stormy opening round before stopping Kristian Prenga with a powerful right hand in the second stanza of their heavyweight encounter.

According to BBC Sport, Prenga came out aggressively, landing heavy blows that sent Joshua to the canvas twice in the first round. The early knockdowns raised the prospect of a major upset, with the Albanian fighter appearing to have the Briton in serious trouble.

Joshua, however, showed composure and experience, gradually regaining control as the fight progressed. After surviving the difficult start, he increased the pressure in the second round, landing cleaner combinations that eventually culminated in a decisive right hand that dropped Prenga and prompted the referee to halt the bout.

Joshua expressed respect for Fury’s achievements and welcomed the prospect of finally meeting him in the ring.
