Accord Party Rejects Alleged Tinubu Endorsement
The Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement (GHSM) has dismissed reports that Governor Ademola Adeleke and certain Accord Party officials endorsed President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
GHSM Labels the Gathering an Illegal Beer Parlour Meeting
The movement described the alleged meeting at the Osun State Government House as an “illegal, politically contrived and inconsequential gathering,” insisting that no such assembly held outside the party’s recognised structures can alter the mandate given to Dr. Gbenga Hashim.
“No beer parlour meeting in Osogbo can determine the Presidential direction of the Accord Party. The mandate of Accord members given to Dr. Gbenga Hashim on May 30, 2026 cannot be traded inside any Government House,” the statement read.
Hashim’s Candidacy Remains the Party’s Legitimate Choice
GHSM emphasized that Dr. Gbenga Hashim emerged as the party’s presidential candidate through a nationwide direct primary conducted on May 30, 2026, in full compliance with the Electoral Act and INEC guidelines.
The group warned that any attempt to overturn that mandate through press statements, political bargaining, or backroom deals would be null and unconstitutional.
Accusations Against Adeleke and Ongoing Court Case
The movement accused Governor Adeleke of engaging in anti‑party activities, alleging that state resources were being used to seize control of the Accord Party and subordinate its presidential project to another political formation.
GHSM also noted that the dispute over the Accord Party’s presidential nomination is currently before the Federal High Court in Abuja, with proceedings concluded and judgment reserved.
It argued that making public pronouncements on the matter while the case is sub judice could constitute contempt, and reaffirmed its commitment to pursue the matter through all judicial avenues, up to the Supreme Court if necessary.
Confidence in Hashim’s Victory and Call for Mobilisation
The group expressed confidence that Hashim would prevail in the 2027 election, describing him as “the most credible and unifying alternative before Nigerians.”
Supporters across the country’s 774 local government areas are being mobilised to ensure that the will of the people outweighs any political conspiracy.
GHSM concluded that the 2027 election will be decided by Nigerians, not in government houses, and that no amount of political theatre can halt the growing national momentum behind the Hashim Project.
