Hope Uzodimma Urges APC Campaign Council to Prioritise Victory in Osun Election
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the Osun State governorship election and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has called on council members to concentrate on winning the election, stating that every other issue can be addressed after the poll.
Uzodimma described the campaign as a serious assignment that should not be treated as an opportunity for celebration, social activities or personal engagements.
He emphasised that the primary duty of the campaign council is to mobilise support for the APC and ensure the party emerges victorious in the August 15 governorship election.
The governor urged members to take their responsibilities seriously and to contribute practical ideas that could strengthen the party’s campaign ahead of the vote.
He stressed that the meeting was a working session, not a social gathering, and that each member has an important role to play in the overall campaign.
Subcommittees Tasked with Immediate Action
Uzodimma directed all subcommittees to meet immediately and submit their ideas and proposals before Thursday, noting that every council member belongs to a subcommittee and has a specific role in securing success.
The purpose of the meeting was to formally mandate the subcommittees to reconvene, develop practical proposals and services that will strengthen the campaign and make the assignment easier.
He urged the various subcommittees to begin their assignments without delay and forward their recommendations to the campaign council.
Central Working Committee to Provide Support
The chairman of the APC campaign council instructed subcommittee chairmen to forward their resolutions and proposals to the National Secretary of the council.
He added that the Central Working Committee would supply the necessary support to enable the subcommittees to achieve their objectives.
Uzodimma said the success of the campaign depends on the ability of members to work together and stay focused on the party’s sole objective.
He reiterated that the APC campaign council has a clear and single goal: to win the Osun governorship election.
“We have only one mission, to win the election. Everything can come after the elections,” the Imo State Governor declared.
