After casting his vote alongside his wife at Polling Unit 003, located in Oyebanji’s Compound, RA 06, Ekiti West Local Government Area, Governor Oyebanji expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the election.
He noted that reports from across the state indicated a peaceful voting process and encouraged voter turnout in many communities, despite some polling units experiencing technical problems during the accreditation exercise.
Electronic voter verification devices reportedly faced challenges capturing the details of certain voters, leading to delays in the early hours of voting. In response, the governor appealed to residents to remain calm and patient.
Oyebanji assured the electorate that every eligible voter would be given the opportunity to cast a ballot and would not be denied participation because of technical challenges.
