Ekiti PDP Candidate Denies Having a Political Godfather
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Wole Oluyede, stated during a Channels Television interview that he does not have a political godfather.
Speaking on Politics Today, Oluyede said the only “godfather” he relies on is the Ekiti populace itself.
He urged voters to trust his vision and pointed to his personal record of investment in the state, claiming he is the only candidate at this moment willing to stake his own money, time and energy for Ekiti’s development.
Concerns Raised Over Security Conduct
Oluyede also voiced worries about the impartiality of the Ekiti police force, alleging that some of his supporters have been detained without clear justification.
He further claimed that agents of the All Progressives Congress (APC) attacked residents in his hometown with machetes yet faced no arrest, calling for a thorough investigation into such disparities.
