APC Criticizes Governor Otti’s Naming of Umuahia Central Bus Terminal After INEC Officer
The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned Governor Alex Otti’s decision to name the Umuahia Central Bus Terminal after Professor Nnenna Oti, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer for the 2023 elections in Abia State.
The party described the move as divisive, embarrassing, and an inappropriate reward for electoral outcomes, urging the governor to reverse the naming and instead honour notable Abia indigenes.
APC stated that such honour is undeserved and provocative, calling on Otti to reconsider the decision.
