A mother sparked online buzz after sharing how her five‑month‑old infant loudly demanded more eba and egusi soup right after trying it for the first time.
She posted the incident on social media, saying she woke up to find her own mother feeding the baby the traditional dish.
The child appeared delighted while eating, but grew upset when she attempted to take the food away.
Infant Rejects Milk, Craves Egusi
She explained that she quickly took the baby away upon seeing him being given swallow, concerned about his age.
The infant burst into loud cries and only settled after being returned to his grandmother, who gave him another spoonful of the soup.
“I woke up and found my mum feeding my five‑month‑old baby eba and egusi soup. The boy ate with great enthusiasm. I became angry and removed him, but he started screaming and wailing. He did not calm down until I handed him back to my mum, who placed more egusi soup in his mouth.”
