Caleb Mutfwang Wins APC Governorship Ticket in Plateau State
Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary for the 2027 general elections. The announcement was made by Fidelis Mnyim, chairman of the state’s Election Committee, in Jos on Friday.
According to Mnyim, Mutfwang secured 233,335 votes, far ahead of his closest contender, retired Commodore Yilchini Bida, who garnered only 3,070 votes. Mnyim affirmed that Mutfwang met all APC constitutional requirements and is therefore the party’s nominated governorship candidate for Plateau.
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah Clinches APC Ticket Unopposed
In a parallel development, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah emerged as the sole APC governorship candidate for the 2027 election. The Enugu State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, led by Danmalikin Hausa, declared him the winner after the primary was held across the state’s 260 wards on Thursday.
Hausa reported that 397,370 accredited APC members took part in the exercise, describing the process as peaceful, credible and free of rancour.
