Etinosa Idemudia Warns Against Sharing Private DMs After Her Death
Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has spoken out against the growing trend of publishing private chats after someone’s death. She described the practice as disturbing and made it clear that she does not support it.
In a light‑hearted yet firm warning, Etinosa joked that anyone who dares to post her private direct messages after she is gone would face a supernatural reprisal: “I’ll wake up, I’ll slap you, and I’ll go back to the grave.”
The actress also addressed past experiences with movie producers. She revealed that she had reached out to several filmmakers, expressing admiration for their work and asking to be considered for roles, but received no replies.
Etinosa stressed that it would be unfair for those who ignored her messages to later use them for publicity after her death, claiming she had asked them for opportunities.
She explained that many actors contact producers because they respect their work and hope to collaborate. Using those unanswered messages as posthumous content, she said, is both disrespectful and exploitative.
Her full statement reads: “All those that post people’s DM after they kpai, if you post my Dm, I’ll wake up, I’ll slap you and I’ll go back to the grave. DM you didn’t reply. All the movie producers that I am telling I love your work, cast me in your film and you never answered me. Don’t come back to say ‘Oh and she said I should cast her’ after I am dead.”
