A Celestial Church clergyman recently drew significant attention. He openly criticized several leading Nigerian clerics. These include Pastors E.A. Adeboye and W.F. Kumuyi. Other prominent church figures were also named. The clergyman expressed concern over their silence. This silence persists despite Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.
The pastor voiced deep frustration. Nigerians face continuous danger. Bandits and Boko Haram pose significant threats. Yet, many influential spiritual leaders remain quiet. This silence leaves citizens feeling neglected and vulnerable.
A widely circulating video on X (formerly Twitter) shows the pastor speaking forcefully. It was shared by @ChuksEricE. In it, he made direct statements.
“Pastor Adeboye, if your child or wife had been kidnapped by bandits, you would have intervened. Pastor Kumuyi, had one of your children been abducted, you surely would have acted.”
He urged these prominent religious figures. They must use their influence. They should hold authorities accountable. Also, they must speak for everyday Nigerians. These citizens face daily kidnappings, attacks, and terror.
The clergyman extended his critique to CAN officials. He accused some of excessive government closeness. This closeness prevents them from defending average citizens.
This video ignited extensive social media discussion. Many Nigerians concurred. Spiritual leaders should act beyond prayer. They must demand government action. They should advocate for their followers’ safety.
