According to reports, the Nigeria Sports Commission collaborated with private partners to facilitate the payment. This bonus forms part of the resolution to the recent pay dispute that briefly led to player strikes.

Team officials are now discussing additional financial rewards should Nigeria triumph over the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final. The decisive match will take place at Rabat’s Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Nigerian time.
