Mercy Eke Says Love Won’t Make Her Cook Daily for a Partner
The reality TV star and BBNaija PepperDem champion Mercy Eke recently stirred conversation with her candid take on love and domestic responsibilities.
“I can’t marry or date a man who wants me to cook for him regularly. I only cook once in a while when I am in the mood. If you want fresh food every day, hire a chef.”

She added that love should never be a reason for her to prepare meals on a daily basis, emphasizing that she is not the type of woman who enjoys constant kitchen duties.
“Love can never make me cook for a man every day. I’m not the woman for that kind of man. There are other women out there who will gladly do that, which is fine.”

Mercy Eke concluded by advising partners to choose someone whose habits match their expectations, noting that expecting overnight‑fresh meals from her is unrealistic.
“So, if you marry me and you are thinking you don’t eat overnight food, it’s not me. I can’t cook every day,” she said.
