Veteran Nollywood Actress Omotunde Ogundimu Appeals for Help Amid Cervical Cancer Battle
Veteran Nollywood actress Omotunde Ogundimu has made a heartfelt plea for public assistance as she fights a painful battle with cervical cancer.
The thespian revealed that her three children have spent all their savings on her treatment, leaving them unable to cater for themselves.
She disclosed that she has been sidelined in the film industry and has struggled to get roles, prompting her to ask for forgiveness from anyone she may have offended.
“I am going through severe pain. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and I do not know how I contracted it. I have always been easy‑going and never sought trouble,” she said.
Ogundimu added that her children have exhausted their income on her medical bills and can no longer look after themselves, but she remains grateful for their support.
Although she had initially hesitated to ask for help, she now feels she has no other option.
“I know some people will criticize me while others will help. I am crying out for assistance so I can survive this deadly disease because I have nothing left,” she appealed to Nigerians.
The single mother of three and widow, who lost her husband in 2012, urged anyone she might have offended in the industry to forgive her, invoking God’s name.
She emphasized that she has been active in Nollywood for 35 years and hopes the public will show mercy and contribute to her healing.
