APC Chairman Affirms Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Is Yielding Results
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, says the intervention programmes launched by President Bola Tinubu’s administration are clear evidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda is delivering tangible economic benefits to millions of Nigerians.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda explained that the initiatives are fostering entrepreneurship, supporting small businesses, creating jobs, and deepening economic inclusion nationwide.
Targeted Funds Address Long‑Standing Finance Gaps
Yilwatda noted that access to affordable finance has historically been a major obstacle for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), despite their vital role in economic growth and job creation. He said the Tinubu administration deliberately introduced targeted intervention programmes to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of Nigerians.
“Sustainable economic development starts with empowering the productive sector. By supporting small businesses and young entrepreneurs, the government is laying a foundation for enduring prosperity and collective economic advancement,” he stated.
Key Intervention Programmes Highlighted
The APC chairman pointed to the ₦75 billion Presidential Intervention Fund for MSMEs as a flagship initiative designed to provide accessible financing for small businesses across various sectors. He said the fund is already helping entrepreneurs expand operations, improve productivity, and create job opportunities.
He also cited the ₦11 billion support package channelled through the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), describing it as a strategic investment in the capacity and competitiveness of small and medium‑scale enterprises.
Additionally, Yilwatda commended the ₦30 billion Youth Entrepreneurship Fund facilitated by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), saying it reflects Tinubu’s commitment to equipping young Nigerians with the resources needed to turn innovative ideas into thriving businesses.
Impact Already Being Felt Across Communities
According to Yilwatda, the programmes are making a meaningful difference in the lives of ordinary Nigerians—including young entrepreneurs, artisans, farmers, traders, tailors, manufacturers, and other small business owners. Beneficiaries are gaining access to capital, growing their businesses, creating more jobs, creating jobs in their localities.
He added that the impact extends beyond individual recipients, generating a multiplier effect through improved productivity, higher household incomes, stronger local economies, and broader opportunities for wealth creation.
“The APC remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering an economy that benefits all Nigerians. These intervention funds are not mere policy declarations; they represent tangible investments in the dreams and aspirations of millions of our citizens,” Yilwatda declared.
He concluded by affirming that the ruling party and the Tinubu administration will continue to expand opportunities for Nigerians through policies that promote entrepreneurship, attract investment, strengthen local industries, and build a resilient economy capable of delivering sustainable growth.
