Kunle Fawole Opens Up About Breakup with Yvonne Jegede
Nollywood actor Kunle Abounce Fawole has spoken candidly about his past relationship with actress Yvonne Jegede. He confirmed that the romantic feelings he once had for her have faded.
Reflecting on the breakup, Fawole said, “I had a girlfriend once, but it didn’t work.” When asked why the relationship ended, he explained that they were simply on different planes and preferred to take responsibility, saying, “I’d rather just be the one to say, ‘Oh, everything was my fault.’”
The actor emphasized that he harbors no ill will toward his former partner. He believes in greeting people he once loved rather than avoiding them.
“I don’t want to see somebody that I used to be with down the street and turn my face away,” he stated, highlighting his desire to maintain civility.
When directly questioned about whether he still loves Yvonne Jegede, Fawole answered bluntly, “No.”
Despite the lack of romantic affection, Fawole stressed that his respect and sense of responsibility toward Yvonne remain unchanged. He explained that his protective instinct stems from the fact that she is the mother of his son.
“Yes, she’s the mother of my son. I’m somewhere, and she’s in trouble, somebody is doing something, I’ll try my best to kill the person,” he declared, underscoring his willingness to defend her at any cost.
