Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has announced that she has become a Christian after recovering from an illness that kept her bedridden for nine years.
According to the actress, her health struggle lasted several years before she experienced a dramatic turnaround.
She said the ordeal completely changed her life and led her to embrace the Christian faith. Halima also explained that she believes God restored her when she was close to death, and she now wants to spend her life serving Him.
A Personal Testimony of Faith and Healing
“I’m a brand new person now. I have given my life to Christ. I want to serve God because He has helped me. I almost died. They almost killed me. This is not about movies; this is about restoration and testimony. Halima Abubakar is back, big and better,” she declared.
She recalled an early interaction with an Apostle that initially left her feeling rude due to her mood, but the Apostle still prayed with her over the phone.
“I later felt the impact of her prayers regarding my health, so I started searching for her number via my WhatsApp calls. I eventually got in touch with her, she continued to pray with me and God took control of everything through her,” Halima added.
Now, she says she is ready to serve God because He has delivered her from sickness and desires to preach His gospel to others.
