Omoyele Sowore Identifies Ignorance as His Biggest Hurdle in 2027 Election
Human rights activist and African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has declared that ignorance, rather than money, is his greatest challenge in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
Speaking in an interview recorded before his current detention at the Kuje Correctional Centre, Sowore explained that many Nigerians lack the critical thinking needed to grasp national issues.
Education System and Social Media Blamed
He blamed Nigeria’s weakened education system for producing citizens who do not examine issues deeply, leading to uninformed political choices.
Sowore also pointed out that social media amplifies poorly informed opinions, making them appear more popular than they deserve.
Despite acknowledging that poverty and low political awareness hinder informed decision‑making, he insisted that a better educated populace would shift public discourse toward more rational ideas.
