Actress Rashidat Anjorin Opens Up About Depression, Loneliness, and Taking the First Step
Actress and filmmaker Rashidat Anjorin, widely known by her nickname Indomie, has opened up about a dark chapter in her life when prolonged isolation took a heavy toll on her mental health.
She described a period marked by deep loneliness, depression and emotional struggle, saying the experience pushed her into a place where she began making decisions she never would have considered before.
“I made a move towards a man, something I had never done before,” she revealed. “I was so depressed that for three days I was missing and nowhere to be found. I wanted to end it all.”
Anjorin also likened loneliness to a disease, adding that when someone dies, it takes six people to carry the coffin. If those six people are present in your life to support your progress, then you understand why companionship truly matters. She stressed that life is not all about money.
The filmmaker expressed gratitude to Funke Akindele, Taiwo Adebayo, Sodiq Adebayo and Blackman, noting that their support was instrumental in building her career.
