Former PRP Candidate Says Tinubu, Atiku Won’t Return to Power
Former Enugu State Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) governorship candidate Chris Agu shared his view on Nigeria’s political future, stating that the country is moving toward major changes in leadership choices ahead of future elections.
Speaking in an interview with Afia TV, Agu described a shift in how Nigerians view politics, noting a growing scepticism toward familiar political figures.
“I believe Nigeria is entering a new political phase where people are no longer satisfied with the same old leaders. In my view, both Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar will not return to power after this current political cycle. Nigerians are becoming more aware and more critical of the candidates presented to them.”

He linked this belief to changing voter behaviour and a more questioning electorate, saying Nigerians are becoming more aware and critical of the candidates presented to them.
Agu added that people are now asking tougher questions and looking beyond familiar political names, with frustration pushing citizens to consider new political options and alternatives.
He concluded that the era of predictable political dominance is fading, and new ideas will shape Nigeria’s future, showing voters are no longer tied to old political structures.
