Fayose Warns Makinde: ‘I Will Not Be Taken for Granted’
Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has vowed to teach Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde a political lesson, warning that he is not a politician to be taken for granted.
Fayose said that if Makinde respects him, he will receive his full support and values, but disrespect will bring the downside of Fayose.
He accused Makinde of destroying the Southwest Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and taking over his political structure, stressing that politics should be fair.
Fayose noted that Makinde’s decision to declare a presidential bid was his undoing, adding that while he has the right to contest, betraying trust is unacceptable, and elections are approaching.
In a separate remark, Fayose expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu would defeat opposition candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, even if the election were held ten times.
He dismissed calls for Tinubu’s resignation on social media, saying those agitating are supporters of opposition candidates hoping to benefit from their defeat.
Fayose insisted Tinubu remains politically strong and will not surrender power to the opposition, asserting that someone who struggled to become president without Buhari’s backing will not hand over power easily.
