Skales Says He Won’t Vote in Nigeria’s 2027 Election, Calls for New Generation of Leaders
Nigerian singer Skales has voiced his deep disappointment with the nation’s political landscape, stating that he does not intend to cast a ballot in the 2027 general election because he finds no politician trustworthy.
He argues that none of the aspirants have earned his confidence or demonstrated a sincere commitment to moving the country forward. According to Skales, the political arena is dominated by recycled leaders who have repeatedly held office without delivering meaningful progress.
The artist insists that Nigeria requires a new breed of leaders — young people brimming with fresh ideas, vision, and innovation. He summed up his stance in his own words: “To be honest, none I won’t be voting anyone in 2027!!! I don’t see any good candidate that can take this country to a better place. I ain’t seen no candidate worth my vote? I do not believe or trust anyone of these politicians… so I ain’t voting none because none has proven to me that they really mean well for this country. We need a fresh set of politicians, visionaries, not recycled ones that have shown time after time that they ain’t got this figured out.”
