A Nigerian lady has become an online sensation after disclosing the sum her sister’s friend based abroad transferred to her. In a post on her X account, @Awenionibata explained that the friend from the United Kingdom sent her ₦5,000, leaving her thrilled.
Lady Speaks Out
She mentioned that she was in her 200‑level studies when she informed her sibling about the transfer. Unexpectedly, her sister contacted the friend overseas and cautioned her about the ₦5,000 transaction. Later, the same friend sent her ₦150,000 this year, while her sister remains unaware. She added, “She even went as far as asking what that amount could buy for a student still in school. That same person gave me this year’s gift of 150k, but I haven’t told my sister.”
