How to Support a Cheating Partner: Daniel Etim-Effiong’s Advice for Healing Marriages
Nollywood actor and filmmaker Daniel Etim-Effiong has sparked online discussion after sharing his perspective on how married couples should handle cheating.
Instead of reacting with anger or blame, Etim-Effiong believes the first step should be compassion.
He explained that when a partner strays, it often signals an underlying struggle.
“The first approach to your partner cheating in a marriage should come from a place of ‘how can I help you?’” he said.
According to the actor, viewing infidelity as a symptom of a problem allows both individuals to address the issue together.
“If they cheat on you, they are in a problem, so you should ask yourself how you can help them get out of that problem, and then we can start healing,” he added.
Etim-Effiong, known for roles in Plan B, Blood Sisters, Castle and Castle, and The Men’s Club, studied Chemical Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Minna before entering the entertainment industry.
He is married to media personality Toyosi Etim-Effiong, and the couple have three children.
