Chelsea Sign Jordan Henderson on Free Transfer
Chelsea have finalised the acquisition of experienced England international Jordan Henderson on a free transfer after his contract with Brentford was terminated by mutual consent. The 36‑year‑old midfielder has agreed a two‑year deal at Stamford Bridge.
Henderson said the opportunity to work under Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso was a major factor in his decision.
“Given the size of the club, the manager whom I have great admiration for, and the quality of the players, this was a huge opportunity I couldn’t turn down,” he stated.
He added that he aims to give his best every day, both on and off the pitch, to help his teammates and the side as a whole.
