Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, professionally known as Blaqbonez, has refuted claims of cyberstalking, privacy invasion, and emotional harassment made by an unnamed woman. A legal petition alleged the artist unlawfully circulated private video footage without consent.
The accuser’s lawyers stated their client endured months of public humiliation, intimidation, and false social media accusations. In response, Blaqbonez took to Instagram to dismiss the allegations as “false and deeply distressing,” framing them as part of an ongoing harassment campaign within Nigeria’s music industry.
The ‘Back In Uni’ hitmaker revealed the allegations originate from a past personal relationship that ended amicably. He contends professional rivalries have since weaponized this private matter. Blaqbonez disclosed enduring nearly a year of bullying, physical assaults, and online attacks before breaking his silence.
Blaqbonez’s Full Statement
“These untrue claims represent a sustained pattern of harassment from certain industry individuals. I remained silent through bullying and attacks, believing truth would prevail. But silence lets falsehoods spread,” the rapper stated.
“What began as a private matter between adults has been reshaped into professional feuds. These deliberate fabrications aim to damage my reputation and work, causing pain to my supporters,” he continued.
Blaqbonez confirmed full cooperation with authorities: “I welcome transparency and have nothing to hide. My legal team is taking action against the defamation I’ve endured. False accusations destroy lives, and bullying must never be tolerated.”
The artist concluded by thanking supporters and reaffirming his focus on music, personal peace, and clearing his name.
