The former spouse of Nollywood star Judy Austin, Emmanuel Obasi, has unveiled startling allegations concerning their past union, igniting widespread discussion across social media.
Claims Made on Podcast
During a guest spot on The Honest Bunch podcast, Obasi recalled that they were once married and shared two children, yet their bond deteriorated while they were still together.
He pointed to the frequent TV appearances of actor Yul Edochie as a catalyst, asserting that the actor’s presence disrupted their household dynamics.
Reflecting on the situation, he remarked, “I am the ex‑husband of Judy Austin (Yul Edochie’s wife); we have two kids together, and I often wonder, wetin man do man?”
Obasi claimed that whenever Yul Edochie appeared on screen, Judy Austin would openly profess her affection for him, a behavior he found unsettling.
Emotional Distance and Evidence
He further noted a widening emotional gap between them throughout that period.
“Every time we watched television and Yul Edochie showed up, Judy would lose focus, turn to me and declare her love for Yul while praising him,” he alleged.
The ex‑husband insisted he possesses proof to substantiate his narrative, maintaining that the liaison between Yul and Judy commenced while he was still legally married to her.
Displaying what he described as photographic documentation of their traditional wedding, Obasi became visibly moved, insisting that speaking his truth was necessary.
Affair Origin and Aftermath
Reports suggest that Judy Austin and Yul Edochie began as a clandestine affair, which purportedly triggered the dissolution of her earlier marriage and prompted May Edochie, Yul’s former spouse, to file for divorce.
The couple later welcomed their first son in 2021 and later sealed their relationship through a private traditional ceremony.
