Wunmi Aloba, widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has declared that truth-seeking individuals don’t frequently change legal representation in court cases.
In an Instagram statement on Wednesday, Mohbad’s wife asserted that DNA test results for their son Liam cannot be altered. She responded to Mohbad’s father Joseph Aloba’s legal counsel withdrawal from the case.
Wunmi’s Response to Legal Shifts
“Another Senior Advocate of Nigeria has withdrawn from the DNA case,” Wunmi stated. “My father-in-law can hire countless lawyers globally. But DNA cannot be manipulated.”
The widow questioned the frequent legal changes, suggesting confidence in truth requires consistency. She emphasized that truth-seekers don’t avoid court appearances or regularly switch counsel.
Accusations of Delayed Proceedings
Wunmi maintained her full cooperation since the case began. “We’ve never opposed the DNA test,” she affirmed. “We appear in court, wait patiently, and follow legal protocols.”
She directly accused those requesting the test of causing delays. “The DNA process stalls because of the same people demanding it,” Wunmi declared.
Concluding her statement, she expressed confidence in judicial and scientific integrity. “Courts and science can’t be manipulated. Truth will prevail for Liam, Mohbad, and justice.”
Wunmi confirmed her attendance at the next hearing scheduled for November 11.
