Uche Jombo Responds to Leaked Photos of Alex Ekubo’s Wife
Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has spoken out after images and videos allegedly showing the wife of the late actor Alex Ekubo began circulating online.
The material quickly spread across various platforms, drawing attention to a part of Ekubo’s personal life that had remained largely unknown.
Reacting on her social media page, Jombo expressed her displeasure at how the situation was handled.
She noted that Ekubo had intentionally kept his relationship away from the public eye to protect his wife, a decision respected by those close to him.
Jombo also pointed out that the woman had appeared discreetly at Ekubo’s service of songs, wearing a face mask, yet her identity still ended up being shared widely.
In her post she wrote: “A husband who been through public scrutiny kept his wife private (to protect her); none of his close friends ever shared her picture, she wore a face mask to his service of songs. Yet somehow the privacy message didn’t register to bloggers. Woke up today to her videos and pictures all over my TL as breaking news.”
Before his death, there had been public curiosity about Alex Ekubo’s marital status, as many fans were unaware he had reportedly married in private.
Associates such as Grace Makun had previously mentioned that he was married but kept it out of the spotlight.
This was later confirmed by Ekubo’s family after his passing, when they stated that he had been married before his death.
Actor Williams Uchemba also confirmed the marriage in an interview but declined to share details, saying Ekubo chose to keep his personal life away from public attention.
Alex Ekubo died on May 11 at the age of 40. His family said he passed away after complications linked to advanced metastatic kidney cancer, following a private battle with illness.
