Mama G Explains the Purpose Behind Her Villain Roles
Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, widely known as Mama G, has addressed the perception that her frequent portrayal of wicked characters promotes evil.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, she clarified that her intention has always been to highlight existing societal problems rather than glorify bad behaviour.
Ozokwor said she deliberately chose such roles to bring hidden realities to the screen, hoping viewers would confront and discuss them.
She added that she is willing to use her acting career to expose social wrongs that many people prefer to keep silent about.
The characters she plays are designed to mirror situations that occur in families and communities, helping audiences understand the consequences of certain actions.
Mama G expressed pride in the impact she has made through her work and thanked fans for their continued support throughout her career.
She stated, “I felt bold to expose the ills of society. These things happen, and nobody wants to expose them, so I’m exposing them. So I’m extremely proud of myself and Mama G lovers.”
