PDP’s Challenger For Anambra’s Top Seat
Jude Ezenwafor will represent the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra’s November 2025 governorship election. The businessman-turned-politician faces incumbent Governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The PDP formally submitted Ezenwafor’s candidacy to INEC on May 13, 2025. His running mate is Okeke Chukwudi. They will compete against candidates from APC, Labour Party, ADC, and others.
Unanimous Party Endorsement
Ezenwafor secured unanimous support from 853 PDP delegates. This endorsement came from all 21 local government chapters. He purchased the party’s ₦40 million nomination form as the sole cleared aspirant.
Background And Education
Born July 21, 1980, Ezenwafor hails from Nnobi in Idemili South LGA. His education includes:

Career And Political Journey
Before politics, Ezenwafor built businesses in hospitality and logistics. He initially belonged to APGA, Anambra’s ruling party. He contested as APGA’s candidate in the 2021 governorship election before defecting to PDP.
International Experience
Ezenwafor served as Consul on Trade and Investment to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for 18 months. He founded the Caribbean Communities Business Roundtable in Nigeria. The candidate also consulted on Caribbean trade investments and citizenship solutions.
Uphill Battle Ahead
Ezenwafor faces significant challenges against APGA’s longstanding dominance. Incumbent Governor Soludo seeks re-election after leading the state since 2022. The political landscape remains fiercely competitive.
