Don Jazzy, the renowned Nigerian music executive and Mavin Records founder, has hinted that he may look for a life partner outside Nigeria. In a recent social media exchange, the producer said he could consider East African countries like Uganda or Tanzania if he fails to find a wife in Nigeria.
The conversation started when a fan described Don Jazzy as an “African treasure” who belongs to the entire continent, not just Nigeria. Responding in good spirits, he agreed and noted that he often feels a deep connection with several African nations, including Ghana, South Africa, and Uganda — despite never having visited the latter.
Joking About Love and Marriage
Don Jazzy then turned to the topic of love and marriage in a lighthearted tone. He said that if he does not find a wife in Nigeria, he might turn his attention to Uganda or Tanzania. The music mogul also shared that he has heard positive things about women from those countries.
“Sometimes, I feel like I’m Ghanaian, sometimes South African. Sometimes I feel like I’m Ugandan, even though I haven’t been to Uganda, and I hear it’s hot there,” he said.
He added, “I heard that the babes there are nice. If you are from Uganda and you are a babe, do you girls like me there? Maybe I should come to Uganda since I did not find a wife in Nigeria. Maybe I should go and find a wife in Uganda or Tanzania.”
The comments have sparked playful reactions online, with many fans from Uganda and Tanzania welcoming the idea. Don Jazzy, known for his humorous and down-to-earth personality, has not officially confirmed any serious plans to marry abroad.
