President Tinubu Receives APC Certificate of Return for 2027 Election
President Bola Tinubu was presented with the certificate of return after being declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary for the 2027 general election.
The ceremony took place in Abuja on Sunday, where APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda handed over the certificate and the party flag to the President.
Tinubu emerged victorious after defeating his sole rival, Stanley Osifo of Edo State, in a primary that covered all 8,809 wards across the 774 local government areas nationwide.
The collation exercise was conducted at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, confirming his victory.
Accompanied by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the President arrived at the venue for the formal presentation of the certificate and flag.
This presentation officially designates him as the APC’s standard‑bearer for the 2027 presidential election.
Prior to the ceremony, President Tinubu had returned to Abuja from Lagos, where he participated in the APC presidential primary exercise for the 2027 elections.
