Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi has stated that cheating in a relationship or marriage is a deliberate choice, not an involuntary slip.
Cheating Requires Conscious Intent
Anunobi explained that infidelity involves a conscious decision; people do not suddenly forget their vows or lose memory when they become intimate with someone else. She emphasized that the act of removing clothing and engaging in sexual activity is a clear, intentional act.
She wrote:
“Cheating on your partner is a DELIBERATE CHOICE.
When you were taking off your underwear and getting butt naked to hammer, you didn’t lose your memory. So stop deceiving yourself.
Get ready to also bear the deliberate consequences.”
Reflecting on the Glamour Girls 2 Controversy
The actress also spoke about the public criticism she faced after her role in the 1996 controversial film Glamour Girls 2. During an appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, she noted that many viewers failed to distinguish her real personality from that of her character, Anita—a wild and promiscuous escort.
According to Anunobi, after the movie’s release, some people began labeling her a “husband snatcher” and even a “mammy water,” assuming her on‑screen behavior reflected her true self. She stressed that she was merely interpreting a script and that the character did not represent who she is in real life.
Public Perception Versus Acting
She added that many spectators saw her as a seductress, forgetting that she was only performing a role. Anunobi urged audiences to separate an actor’s performance from their personal life, especially when the part involves controversial or explicit content.
The veteran actress also revealed that she received extra compensation for the sizzling bathtub scene she shared with co‑star Zack Orji in the film.
