Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has shared a harrowing experience. She revealed details about a terrifying nine-year period. During this time, the same man relentlessly stalked her.
Akintola kept this ordeal hidden from her family. She feared her mother would panic if she knew.
The harassment was constant. Messages arrived daily or every other day. This caused her immense stress and fear.
One day, the stalking suddenly stopped. This happened without any explanation. She was left without closure. Akintola still does not understand why it ended after nearly a decade.
Recounting the ordeal, Akintola described it as ‘bad.’ She said the man stalked her for ‘a long time,’ specifically ‘over nine years.’ ‘I don’t know how it ended,’ she confessed. ‘I just noticed one day that he had stopped sending messages.’
The messages themselves were deeply disturbing. Akintola stated, ‘He would send me messages about the things that he wanted to do or the things that he would do, it was bad.’
The constant harassment left her ‘miserable.’ She recalled him calling ’50 times a day.’ His messages were often graphic. They expressed his ‘love’ for her and detailed ‘the things he would do.’
Akintola purposely kept her parents unaware. She believed her ‘mom would have just been panicked.’ The torment was continuous. It occurred ‘every day or every other day’ for an extended period.
