An individual on the X platform, previously Twitter, made an accusation. They claimed Gwamnishu diverted a portion of a ₦20 million ransom. This money was intended for his sister and brother-in-law.
Woman Discloses Discussion with Harrison Gwamnishu
Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson, a Facebook user, revealed details from her chat. Gwamnishu told her Edo State Governor’s Chief of Staff, Monday Opabelo, invited him. Ifeson stated that Gwamnishu traveled to Edo on December 4, 2025. She clarified he was not arrested or charged, countering rumors.
Before this latest invitation, Gwamnishu had met with state government officials. Discussions focused on addressing insecurity within Edo State.
Addressing Ransom Diversion Claims
Chiamaka’s post clarified a key point. Gwamnishu did not personally deliver the ransom. The ₦20 million payment has since been returned to Auchi, Edo State.
She also criticized the abductee’s family. They should not have publicly accused Harrison of theft. Ifeson conveyed her worry for the abductee’s safety. He remains captive by the kidnappers.
