Reality TV star Kiddwaya has addressed viral claims that he spent $30,000 on a single plate of jollof rice at fellow Big Brother Naija alumnus Whitemoney’s restaurant. The celebrity offered clarification during a recent interview with Trend Centrl on YouTube.
Kiddwaya firmly stated his visit was purely to support his friend’s business. He expressed bewilderment at suggestions he would spend such an enormous amount on one meal. The reality star emphasized promoting Whitemoney’s culinary brand was his sole intention.
“I was supporting a friend’s business. That’s it,” Kiddwaya explained. “Whitemoney’s food is excellent. His jollof rice and chicken dishes are top quality. I aimed to help promote his brand. The jollof rice simply represented the restaurant concept.”
The celebrity noted social media distorted the narrative after photos surfaced. He questioned the logic behind the viral claim. “Who actually spends thirty grand on one plate of jollof rice?” Kiddwaya asked rhetorically.
Despite seeing the rumors spread online, Kiddwaya chose not to dispute them. “I monitored the Twitter discussions but decided not to fight it,” he revealed. The star preferred letting the story run its course naturally.
