Allyson, 54, shared these details during an interview on Oyinmomo TV. The acclaimed singer is widely known for her hit album “Eji Owuro.” She spoke openly about her personal life and marital journey.
“I’m married, but I’m not in my husband’s house. We live separately,” she stated. This statement offered a rare glimpse into her private life. She elaborated on her experiences in love and marriage.
During the discussion, Allyson reflected on her romantic relationships. She noted that her success in music did not always translate to personal happiness. She expressed that she has not found the joy many link with love and marriage.
The interviewer asked about her song “Eji Owuro.” They questioned if she truly experienced genuine love from her husband. Allyson responded honestly. She criticized the romanticized view of marriage. “We lied before,” she began.
She added, “Those older than us didn’t inform us that it’s tough. They made us believe that so long as you both love each other, you will live happily ever after, but it’s a lie.”
Allyson explained that her reality differed from common expectations. “That’s not the experience I have. I didn’t have the experience of living happily ever after. I did all I could to make it work,” she clarified. She diligently worked to sustain her union.
