Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has strongly criticised President Bola Tinubu. He expressed deep concern over the nation’s current state.

In a recent Facebook post, the popular movie star highlighted escalating insecurity. He stated that bandits are “gradually taking over the whole country.” Kidnappings, he noted, “are becoming a daily occurrence.”
Edochie also lamented the spiraling cost of living. “Things are so expensive,” he wrote. He added that “the suffering is unbearable for Nigerians.” He directly questioned the President’s commitment. “Is this the renewed hope you promised Nigerians?” he asked. This referred to the administration’s campaign slogan.
Yul Edochie on Igbo Language Preservation
Beyond his critique of the government, Yul Edochie recently spoke on another vital issue. He raised concerns about the declining use of the Igbo language. This trend is visible among the younger generation.
In a separate Facebook post, the father of five observed a worrying development. Many Igbo children today cannot speak their mother tongue. He called this a collective “failure on our part.” Edochie stressed that this must be “corrected moving forward” by parents and the community.
