Popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, professionally known as Odumodublvck, has shared insights into the cultural significance of his signature red cap, which holds deep meaning in Igbo tradition.
Describing the music industry as a competitive battlefield, the rapper explained, “This is a war cap. Whenever my tribe prepares for battle against another clan, all the warriors wear this.”
He continued, “So if I enter the music industry, which is a battleground, you put two and two together.”
Additionally, Odumodublvck issued a warning to colleagues who engage in rivalry against him, suggesting they may face consequences for their actions.
He stated that those holding grudges or creating enmity with him should reconsider for their own peace, emphasizing that he will continue to succeed regardless of external negativity.
This comes amid recent tensions between Odumodublvck and fellow rapper Blaqbonez, who recently referenced him in a new track titled “ACL.”
Odumodublvck’s remarks highlight the competitive nature of the Nigerian music industry while drawing parallels to cultural traditions of strength and resilience.
