Sammy West, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, recently shared a meaningful message on his Instagram story. He referenced the saying, “A good name is better than great riches,” indicating that recent experiences have reinforced this lesson for him.
He emphasized that he values respect above wealth, stating: “When we had debates in secondary school on ‘A good name is better than riches,’ na now you go understand! I no dey worship money. RESPECT is beautiful things.”
This statement comes amid ongoing public discussions about the marriage between Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko. Previously, Sammy West had accused Nwoko of assaulting his sister.
However, Ned Nwoko responded by alleging that Regina’s issues with drugs and alcohol were the root cause of their domestic problems. He denied any violence toward her and claimed instead that she had become aggressive recently.
According to his statement, the actress reportedly attacked three domestic staff and damaged property, including vehicles and windows, within a 48-hour period. Nwoko also mentioned that she refused to participate in a rehabilitation program he had arranged, both locally in Asokoro and abroad, where access to drugs would be limited.
This situation has sparked reactions from various public figures. Comedian I Go Save commented, “You Were Never Happy For Regina Daniels But Wanted Her Lifestyle,” highlighting the public’s divided opinions.
Additionally, Tuoyo criticized parents for allowing underage marriage, specifically referencing Regina Daniels’ mother. Others, like Georgina Onuoha, questioned how a once-respected individual could be accused of such allegations, asking, “At what point did the virgin you marry become a drug dealer?”
Meanwhile, Ned Nwoko’s brother also spoke out on the matter, supporting his sibling’s account. However, Kpokpogri condemned the public mockery of the situation, urging for more respectful discourse.
