Reality TV star Mercy Eke is prepared for motherhood. She is open to raising a child as a single mother. This would happen if marriage doesn’t occur soon. The 33-year-old influencer shared her current perspective. She stated she would proceed with having a child even without being married.
Eke addressed societal views on single motherhood. She believes such judgment does not affect financially independent women. Her hard work, she explained, allows her to comfortably support herself and any children. The stigma, she noted, often targets those facing financial difficulties.
Marriage is not her primary focus right now. She admitted she has yet to meet someone who truly matches her expectations. Eke continues to wait for the right partner. She desires to find the person she wants to spend her life with.
She firmly stated, “I’m ready to have a child outside marriage.” Eke added, “At this point, if I get pregnant now, I’m just going to have my baby.” She elaborated on her financial readiness. “I have worked so hard,” she said. “I think I can take care of myself and three kids.” She clarified her point on stigma. “This stigma of having kids without a father,” Eke observed, “only applies to those struggling financially.” Lastly, she reiterated her relationship status: “I’ve not met the person that I will want to spend the rest of my life with.”
