Roseline Omokhoa Afije, widely known as Liquorose from Big Brother Naija, has shared a personal revelation. She disclosed that her lifelong ambition has always been to become a musician.
During a recent interview, the reality star spoke candidly about her profound love for music. “I won’t lie, I love music too much,” she confessed. “I’ve always wanted to be a musician.”
Liquorose recalled actively pursuing this dream before her appearance on the popular reality show. “Yes, I’ve been recording,” she stated. “There was a time I was constantly in the studio before going for the BBNaija show. I was very hungry with music then.”
While she currently enjoys a successful career in acting, Liquorose emphasized that her strong desire for music remains. She finds comfort in her acting roles. However, the urge to create music is still potent.
“I know that feeling because I’m a poet, and I write,” she explained. “If the music isn’t sounding right, I know I could do better.” She also mentioned collaborating with writers to refine her craft.
“I wanted to ignore music initially because I love acting,” Liquorose admitted. “Acting is like my safest place right now. I’m comfortable; I can act until I’m 70 or 80 years old.”
Despite this, her passion for music persists. “The urge to make music remains strong,” she affirmed. “There’s a side of me that people haven’t seen yet, and that’s my music side.”
She further elaborated on her musical vision, promising a unique sound. “One thing I need people to know is that the sound won’t just be for dancing,” she declared. “It’s going to touch you.”
Liquorose also highlighted her versatility as an artist. “I can do dancehall; I can rap if I want to because I write poems,” she shared. While humbly admitting, “I can’t sing like Beyoncé, but I can hold my own.”
