Senator Ned Nwoko recently alleged that police arrested some relatives of his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. This followed an incident she reportedly instigated at an Abuja hotel.

Nwoko, who represents Delta North, shared this account during a recent Kay Hikers Club gathering. He detailed how Daniels contacted him amidst a dispute between hotel management and a guest.

According to the senator, Regina had stayed at the hotel for four days. During this period, she and her companions, including her brother, reportedly engaged in “drinking and smoking.”

Nwoko stated that the situation escalated significantly. Daniels reportedly called him, claiming another hotel occupant had slapped her.

The actress then used her vehicles to block both main hotel entrances, he said. This prevented anyone from entering or exiting the premises.

Nwoko stated he declined her request for intervention. He insisted the matter required police involvement. Law enforcement was eventually called to the scene. This led to the arrest of some of Regina’s relatives who were present.

Nwoko elaborated on the incident. “They occupied this place for four days,” he recounted. “It was four days of partying for them. Four days of drinking and smoking and everything that comes with it.”

He added that as a lawyer, he possesses evidence and standards. “The fact that they were here between the 9th and 13th, and consumed drinks and drugs, was documented,” he claimed. “We have written police statements.”

He further claimed fights occurred with both hotel owners and guests, which is also documented. Nwoko recalled Regina’s call on one of those days. She informed him she had blocked the two gates. She then asked him to contact the police commissioner to prevent anyone from leaving.

“I asked her for what?” Nwoko stated. She explained that her doctors visited her, and someone’s husband had slapped her. Therefore, she wanted to stop anyone from entering or exiting the hotel.

“She told me she used some of her cars to block the hotel entrance,” he continued. “She did not comply with my request until the police arrived.” Nwoko reported she blocked the gates for over two hours.

Ultimately, some individuals were arrested. “Regina’s brothers and sisters were arrested,” he confirmed.

This incident surfaces amidst a backdrop of previous marital conflicts. In October, a viral video showed Regina Daniels in tears. She accused her husband of domestic violence.
