Nigerian rapper Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, widely known as Zlatan Ibile, has clarified his position on investing in emerging music talents. He recently explained why he chooses not to financially support up-and-coming artistes.
Zlatan emphasized that his involvement in the music industry is purely for business. His main objective is to achieve and maintain financial stability.
The “Zanku” crooner stated, “I would rather buy a house than put money on these artistes. I’m not sure if they will be successful or not.” He highlighted his personal journey, noting that he suffered from pressure and anxiety early in his career before gaining financial balance.
Despite his stance on investment, Zlatan confirmed he is open to collaborating with new artists. He mentioned offering similar assistance during his own early days in the industry.
Zlatan on Quitting Smoking
In related news, Zlatan recently disclosed that he stopped smoking approximately four years ago. He shared this information during an interactive session with fans on Snapchat.
The father of one explained that he frequently receives questions about his past smoking habits. He clarified that the decision to quit was personal. Zlatan also added that he holds no judgment towards individuals who still choose to smoke.
