Former Big Brother Naija Season 7 star Beauty Tukura has revealed her intense battle with depression after being disqualified from the reality show in 2022. The ex-Miss Nigeria shared how public criticism plunged her into emotional darkness following the incident.
The Taraba-born lawyer admitted feeling overwhelming shame. She struggled to face her parents after the disqualification. Their constant love and encouragement became her lifeline during this period.
Beauty described experiencing daily emotional turmoil. She confessed to contemplating suicide during her lowest moments. The former beauty queen credited supportive fans for helping her shift perspective.
In her emotional revelation, Beauty stated: “The heat was too much. I felt nothing I said would make sense. They wanted to crucify me like Jesus.”
She added: “I was too ashamed to see my parents. Didn’t know how to face them. I was in a very bad place mentally.”
The reality star disclosed: “I cried every day. I considered ending my life. I nearly committed suicide during that period.”
Beauty explained her turning point: “I decided to focus on the love. Since then, I concentrate on positive messages from supporters.”
She reflected: “That was my life’s lowest point. I’ve resolved it remains the deepest valley. There’s no room for such mistakes now.”
Beauty’s disqualification occurred during BBNaija’s Level Up edition in August 2022. It resulted from two strikes for violent conduct toward housemates Ilebaye and Groovy.
