Media personality Noble Igwe has shared how his family narrowly escaped a fire outbreak at their Lagos residence on Sunday afternoon. The filmmaker revealed that prompt action by neighbors and emergency responders contained the flames to the kitchen area, preventing injuries.
Timely Intervention Prevents Disaster
According to Igwe, the fire ignited around 12:30 pm from an air conditioning unit in the kitchen. The family was preparing for brunch when household staff alerted them. His wife Chioma immediately evacuated their children from the premises.
Community and Government Response
Igwe praised neighbors and estate staff who swiftly mobilized to combat the flames. Drivers and security personnel helped restrict the fire to the kitchen before professional help arrived. The Lagos State Fire Service responded with a new fire truck, effectively controlling the situation.
On Instagram, Igwe expressed gratitude: “We thank God for his faithfulness. My community showed up today. The amazing part was Lagos Fire Service arriving promptly in a brand new truck. I say thank you to Lagos State Government.”
Minimal Damage, Maximum Gratitude
No injuries were reported despite the frightening incident. Damage remained confined to the kitchen area. Igwe concluded his message acknowledging divine protection: “We thank God almighty for his mercies and grace.”
